“Breakout Box: Social Entrepreneurship Edition” is a non-formal learning training course for youth workers and youth leaders on the use of game-based learning. The training program focuses on designing educational escape box games, taking its roots from concepts developed by Shokkin Group and Be International during “Breakout Box” strategic partnership.
Training course on game-based learning
The training aims to further develop learning design and facilitation competencies of educators and it will provide tools for game-based learning design and escape box prototype development.
Training objectives
- Foster common understanding of social entrepreneurship and current state of entrepreneurship education in the partner realities.
- Explore game-based learning solutions and innovative approaches in non-formal and experiential learning.
- Practice designing, prototyping and iterating own educational escape boxes relevant to entrepreneurship education.
- Develop skills of facilitating and debriefing game sessions, with an emphasis on escape box approaches.
- Further popularize educational games and spread game- based practices in participating organizations and communities through dissemination events.
This activity is designed for youth work and education practitioners: active youth workers, trainers, NGO workers, young leaders, volunteers working with youth, or teachers. Participants have to be over 18 years old and able to follow the training course and work in English.
The activity is open for residents of Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Croatia, Poland, Spain and Greece.
